Deakin's Intelligent Automation Journey - moving from Project to Operations

ABSTRACT 

From 2021 to 2023, Deakin undertook an Intelligent Automation project with the aim of establishing the foundations for delivering robotic process automation, building capacity for delivering targeted automations, expanding the delivery of automations at an enterprise level and finally, transitioning from project to ongoing operations. 

This presentation aims to provide an overview of Deakin's automation landscape, the operational automation strategy and approach, and the capability needed to support and grow the operational program. In addition we will outline some of the challenges faced in transitioning to operations, including knowledge transfer from our implementation partner to an 'in-house' team and some insights on helping achieve a successful transition.
