Seamless trust and identity for national research infrastructure

ABSTRACT

Establishing a seamless Trust and Identity Framework across Australian research facilities is challenging due to the complex nature of research infrastructure. Australia requires a programmatic approach capable of engaging research facilities over an extended period to identify current and future requirements for a connected research ecosystem.

The Australian Access Federation (AAF) has designed a program that facilitates both short-term solution provisioning, and long-term collaborative partnerships. The program integrates co-design principles into a series of incubators that enables short-term problem-solving initiatives and cultivates enduring partnerships.

This iterative methodology provides AAF with an understanding of future needs, while also addressing existing requirements.
